With winter in full effect, here is a delicious and super easy chicken noodle soup recipe that you can make in your crockpot. Hope you enjoy!
Chicken noodle soup recipe - crockpot
INGREDIENTS:
8cups- chicken stock (homemade is preferable. Or a good bone stock or low sodium chicken broth. Whatever you can find.)
2- bullion cubes (vegetable or chicken)
4- frozen chx breasts
4- stocks celery 1/4” diced
6- medium carrots 1/4” diced
1- yellow onion diced into 1/4” pieces
3-4 cloves garlic, minced
3- sprigs rosemary, washed
1/2lb egg noodles (optional)
DIRECTIONS:
-Add all ingredients except egg noodles to crockpot. Cook on high for 3-5 hours, depending on your crockpot. (Mine usually takes exactly 4 hours on high.)
-(optional) About 30 minutes before you serve, cook egg noodles in salted water until done.
-Shred chicken with 2 forks, and place back into crockpot. Add cooked noodles to the crock pot.
-Serve with sourdough toast or any bread/crackers that your family likes. Enjoy!
NOTE: to make on the stove, add frozen chicken and broth to large pot. Bring to a boil. Add chopped vegetables. Bring back to boil, then simmer for 30 minutes. Shred chicken and serve.
